What is the TMA?

The TMA is a public-private partnership committed to providing environmentally friendly, affordable, reliable, and safe mobility options for Middle Tennesseans. The TMA is a 501c3 organization that uses membership funds to leverage grant dollars in order to offer commute services. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors composed of key business leaders and government officials.

Typical activities range from providing information on available transportation alternatives, working with employers to solve employee commute issues, to taking an active role in site design elements that can effectively impact congestion. In addition to managing a vanpool program in nine Middle Tennessee counties, The TMA manages the Franklin Transit Authority for the City of Franklin.
